Dear Speedshow fans,

The coming
2009 Speedshow
will
this year feature
new-motorcycles
and
new-carsin
addition to race
cars of all types, a
live action arena,
trade sites,
accessories,
merchandise and much
more.
Motorcycle
manufacturers will
be represented in
the motorcycle hall
and will take the
opportunity to
showcase their
wares, with
several
new 2010 models
scheduled to be
revealed.
Motorcycle
collections

A unique collection
of historic and race
bikes will be on
display. Amongst
those confirmed for
display are the
World
500cc Grand Prix
BSL500
built by local
engineer and
speedway enthusiast
Bill Buckley, a
Britten,
Ivan
Mauger's
World
Championship winning
track bike, a
Konig
GP bike
and
the movie replica of
Burt
Munroe's World's
Fastest Indian.
Kiwi ingenuity will
also be on show,
especially in the
form of the
Synergy
V8
speedway engine,
which captured the
2008 Australian
midget title. The
Synergy V8 uses two
Kawasaki ZX-12R
cylinder heads, and
can make between 390
and 500 horsepower,
depending on its
tune and fuel.
Bonneville
As with previous
years, historic and
unique machines will
be the biggest
drawcards. There
will be no less than
four
Bonneville
vehicles
including the
World's Fastest
NASCAR. American
driver Ross Wicks
logged an incredible
397km/h speed record
in the NASCAR
Charger in 2007.
